Disgust is an evolutionary mechanism that protects us from things that can hurt us, such as disease, bodily harm, and social alienation. Paradoxically, some people eroticize feeling disgusted, fearful, or ashamed. These typically negative states are not only tolerated but intentionally sought out. This class offers a psychological deep dive into the taboo and often misunderstood existence of what I call "disgust-based f3tishes", or erotic disgust.
